Playa Grande Surf Camp

Owned and operated by brothers Gerry and Patrick Gilhool, Playa Grande Surf Camp - formerly Jammin' Surf Camp, is now under new ownership. We are open for business and are currently accepting reservations.

It is our pleasure to make your stay at our camp as pleasant as possible. We wish to share our local knowledge and hospitality with you. Our camp is less than 200 meters from the beach in a regional location that is rich with culture, nature, offshore winds and beach break waves.  We offer surf lessons and board rentals as well.

We will welcome you in our three Cabanas with A/C and two elevated Cabanas with fan and balcony with 2 hammocks. In the surf camp are available two bathrooms to share. There is a common kitchen and a barbecue for our guests to share. We have a swimming pool, surfboards to rent. A nearby restaurant has wireless internet, computers and telephone services. For all your meals we are within walking distance to a few restaurants, and a small market. The tourist hub of Tamarindo - which has restaurants, groceries, shopping, art, crafts and more is also within walking distance, with water taxis available to shuttle you across the river during the daytime.
